Handle broke on first use

I got this toaster as a wedding gift. I have done most of my kitchen with kitchen aid appliances and love them but when I went to use the toaster for the first time the handle broke right in half. Very disappointed because it matches all my other appliances but handle is not made well at all.

The handle on this toaster broke at about the 3rd use!
I have had a toaster for 6 yrs now and it never gave me any problems. I decided to upgrade my appliances. This toaster was definately not worth it!

Looked great coming out of the box. Something rattled inside of it - outside cover was loose & 2 screws & a few pieces of pink plastic were the cause of the rattling. Returned this item unused.

I've had this toaster since May '05 and haven't had a problem yet! I have no complaints! My husband likes light toast and I like it dark and the settings are always correct for both of us.
